Chapter 201 Another Journey to the West World
Chapter 201 Another Journey to the West World
Chapter 201 Another Journey to the West World
Within the blessed land of immortals, flames rose in Ye Ming's hands, and countless rare and precious materials were thrown into the flames before him.
These rare and precious materials churned and melted, gradually fusing into a human form with the aid of the Emperor's Flame.
Ye Ming seized the opportunity and separated all the memories and soul belonging to Supreme Treasure in his mind, then merged them into the humanoid figure.
Golden imperial flames rose, and the humanoid figure gradually solidified.
After a long while, a white light suddenly flashed, and a figure slowly emerged from the flames.
He looked at Ye Ming in front of him, bowed slightly, and showed a look of gratitude on his face. "Thank you."
Ye Ming nodded lightly, "You can take Zixia and choose any location within the Immortal Aperture, or you can stay in this Journey to the West world."
"Lin Dong and Chen Ping'an each chose a region to live in within the Immortal Aperture."
Supreme Treasure smiled slightly, walked to the side, took Zixia's small hand, and said to Ye Ming, "The environment here is quite nice, let's live in seclusion here."
He looked at Ye Ming and said earnestly, "If you need help, you can call me."
Ye Ming nodded lightly, then opened the portal to his immortal aperture and slowly walked out.
As soon as he stepped out the door, he saw Tang Sanzang, Zhu Bajie, and Sha Wujing waiting in front of him.
When Tang Sanzang saw him come out, his eyes lit up, and he suddenly continued, "Wukong, it's not that your master is scolding you, but even if you're leaving, you should at least tell us!"
"Your departure without a word will worry me."
"When I worry, I feel distressed and can't even eat my vegetarian meals."
"Remember this: next time you're leaving, make sure you let your master know beforehand..."
Ye Ming looked up at Tang Sanzang, who was still rambling on, and a smile suddenly appeared on his face.
He glanced at the sky again and murmured, "In this world, one of your inner demons is that you can't be with Zixia, which is why you have regrets."
"The other inner demon must be Tang Sanzang's mouth, right?"
"I'll grant your wish..."
He suddenly looked at Tang Sanzang and, in a flash, pointed two fingers at him.
In an instant, Ye Ming pulled Tang Sanzang's tongue out of his mouth.
"Senior Brother! What are you doing?!"
"Senior Brother, how could you do this?!"
Sha Wujing and Zhu Bajie were filled with fear. They stared at Ye Ming, at the bright red tongue in his hand, and then at Tang Sanzang, whose mouth was full of blood. They felt a storm raging in their hearts.
Guanyin Bodhisattva had privately told them that the reason for the five hundred years of reincarnation was to awaken Sun Wukong's sense of gratitude.
But this scene now completely shatters the words spoken by Guanyin Bodhisattva five hundred years ago.
Ye Ming ignored their shock and fear, and silently focused on the information emitted by the wristwatch in his mind.
"Sun Wukong's first level of inner demon quest in the Triple Illusion has been completed. He will proceed to the next level of reincarnation in three breaths."
"Countdown, three..."
Hearing the countdown begin, he suddenly smiled at Pigsy and Sandy, "Aren't you both annoyed by his mouth too? I'm just easing your burden, aren't I?"
"I've done for you things that you dare to think but not dare to do."
He waved slightly to Pigsy and Sandy, and directly stuffed Tang Sanzang into the Immortal Aperture, imprisoning him.
Just after he finished doing all this, the scene before him suddenly changed.
When he opened his eyes again, he found himself outside the market in Luoyang. Not far ahead, Pigsy and Sandy were walking very amicably.
Tang Sanzang sat atop his white horse, looking at the dazed Wukong with some confusion. "Wukong, is something wrong?"
Ye Ming turned his head to look at the Luoyang market. A warrior in the sunset and a woman in purple stood on the city wall, looking at each other.
At this moment, he seemed to understand: five hundred years ago, five hundred years later, and back to five hundred years ago, until now, in this world.
Four Illusions.
Ye Ming shook his head and gently blew up a gust of wind.
On the city wall, the sunset warrior holding the sword seemed to be in a daze for a moment. He walked casually toward the purple-clad heroine and, to her surprise, grabbed her and kissed her.
As the gale subsided, a fleeting look of disbelief crossed the Sunset Warrior's eyes, but upon seeing the purple-clad swordswoman in his arms, a relieved smile appeared on his face, and he embraced her tightly.
The two leaned against each other, watching the man with the stick on his shoulder walk away into the distance.
"Hey, look at that person, he looks like a dog..."
At this moment, Ye Ming discovered that the space in front of him suddenly shattered, and the watch in his mind transmitted a message.
"The first stage of the Triple Illusion of Sun Wukong: A Chinese Odyssey has been completed. The second stage of the Triple Illusion of Sun Wukong: The Monkey King's Struggle for Supremacy in Heaven and Earth has officially begun!"
The familiar passage reappeared. After entering the passage, Ye Ming searched his mind for those long-forgotten memories.
Now that his soul power has surged, searching through his memories in his soul sea is no problem for him. He can quickly find any books, movies, or other things he has seen before.
"The Monkey King's Quest for Supremacy" is also the story of the four travelers on their journey to the West.
The original TVB version of Sun Wukong in 1996 was starring Cheung Wai-kin, who became an instant hit but later terminated his contract with TVB for some reason.
Following that, TVB cast Chen Haoming as Sun Wukong, and filmed "The Monkey King: Quest for the Sutra" and "Sun Wukong: The Legend of the Monkey King".
In "The Monkey King: Quest for Supremacy," the main story revolves around the appearance of the Six-Eared Macaque and the Long-Armed Ape, and their battle against Sun Wukong, the intelligent stone monkey.
After quickly recalling the plot, Ye Ming had some doubts. This version of Sun Wukong didn't seem to have any regrets, and as for inner demons, there were even fewer.
So how exactly should this task be carried out?
"What is the ownership of the Six-Eared Macaque?"
"The love story between the Queen of Demons and the Long-Armed Ape?"
"Or is it a problem with Sun Wukong himself?"
Several ideas flashed through Ye Ming's mind, but he wasn't too sure about any of them.
For him now, figuring out what Sun Wukong's inner demons are in this secret realm is more difficult to understand than how to accomplish it.
"Let's check where this is on the timeline first!"
Just as he was thinking this, the scene before him changed.
Before me stood a temple, in the center of which stood a monkey deity covered in rust, with its palms outstretched and a bird on top of it.
Below the statue, Tang Sanzang, dressed in white Buddhist robes, along with the pot-bellied Pigsy and the simple-minded Sandy, are examining the pavilion dedicated to the Monkey General.
Ye Ming, however, was still wearing the Great Sage outfit.
However, when he realized his own appearance, a sense of surprise arose in his heart.
"This version of the monkey should look like Chen Haoming, so why is this face Zhang Weijian's version of the monkey?"
"Is the 'Inner Demon' quest related to this?"
At the beginning of his time travel, when he watched "The Monkey King: Quest for the Glory", the biggest online opinion was that Chen Haoming's version of the Monkey King was completely overwhelmed by the aura of the Tongbi Ape, and he couldn't even show a bit of the Great Sage's demeanor.
On the contrary, the gibbon is more like the Monkey King. Its monkey-like spirit and arrogance are even more vividly displayed.
Sun Wukong is inherently warlike, so when he encounters someone like him, the most likely outcome is a fair fight between them at their peak!
The gibbon in this world is already a disciple of Maitreya Buddha and has become a Buddha, but due to jealousy, it descended to the mortal realm and became a demon, fighting against Sun Wukong.
Ye Ming thought to himself, could this inner demon mission mean that he has to fight the Long-Armed Ape in the style of Zhang Weijian's version of the monkey, or is it because he is one of the four great monkey gods and he does not want to see the Long-Armed Ape have its monkey nature erased by Buddha?
He had some vague guesses in his mind, but now that he had just entered this world, he was still not sure.
"Senior brother, how can you think this is you?" Pigsy asked, gazing at the bird in the monkey statue's hand. "Have you ever played with a bird before?"
"What kind of bird are you playing?"
Upon suddenly hearing Pigsy's voice, Ye Ming composed himself and resumed his role-playing mode.
Although he placed the role-playing system on his clone, he had already reached the level of a supreme grandmaster in the art of role-playing.
"Are you asking for a beating?" Ye Ming took out the Ruyi Jingu Bang from his ear, casually twirled it a few times, and scared Pigsy into running around Tang Sanzang.
"Master, please do something about my eldest brother! He's going to hit me again!"
"Wukong." Tang Sanzang looked at the two bickering and shook his head with a doting smile.
Just then, Ye Ming and Zhu Bajie stopped in their tracks and looked out of the pavilion.
A little lark flew over, transforming into a woman dressed in a pale yellow fringed dress with a pair of bird wings on her back. She pouted and said, "You are not allowed to insult the Great Monkey King!"
"Master, be careful!" Ye Ming pointed his golden cudgel. "Where did this little demon come from, daring to be so insolent in front of this Great Sage?"
"I'm not a demon, my name is Little Lark, I mean no harm." Little Lark waved her hand. "Besides, aren't you demons too?"
"Pig demon, monkey demon, fish demon..."
Little Lark sensed the killing intent emanating from Ye Ming, and her voice grew softer and softer.
"Wukong, don't frighten this benefactor." Tang Sanzang, dressed in white Buddhist robes, stood up, bowed to the little lark, and said kindly, "Benefactor just mentioned the statue in the pavilion. Do you know the reason behind it? Could you tell this humble monk?"
Although he knew many historical allusions, he truly did not know this Monkey King General.
The little lark in front of me didn't seem like those murderous and cannibalistic demons; instead, she seemed like a naive young girl.
Besides, with his own disciple by his side, he wasn't worried about anything.
When Little Lark heard Tang Sanzang mention the Great Monkey King, his eyes lit up. He was no longer afraid; instead, he spoke with some excitement:
"The Monkey King is my second most admired person!"
"Back then..."
Back then, in this country, demons ran rampant, chaos arose frequently, and the people suffered terribly.
The Great Monkey General, also known as the Long-Armed Ape, suddenly appeared, killing demons and monsters alike, slaughtering all the evil spirits in the area and restoring peace to the people.
The king of this land bestowed upon the long-armed ape the title of Great General Monkey God, and erected a golden statue of him in gold leaf, which is the Monkey God General Pavilion.
The good times didn't last long; two years later, the gibbon died.
However, when he was about to fall, Maitreya Buddha, mindful of his kind heart, took him in as a disciple and brought him to the Heavenly Court to cultivate.
However, chaos has broken out again in this land, and a great disaster has occurred, with countless people losing their lives in the drought.
Just then, a bird fairy who had heard the story of the Monkey King flew to the Monkey King Pavilion.
Meanwhile, the gibbon, who was cultivating in the heavens, also learned of the suffering of the people below.
He used the power of the vows on the Monkey General sculpture to connect with the Bird Fairy, asking her to remove the gold foil from his body and help the people overcome their difficulties.
The bird fairy did as he was told, and in the end, it was his sapphire, which was formed from the power of his own will, that served as his eye.
Knowing that the monkey god would disappear if the sapphire were lost, the gibbon persisted.
The bird fairy was in great pain, but she still did as the other party said.
Finally, the bird fairy landed on the palm of the Monkey General statue and stayed with him for the rest of his days and nights.
In the end, he died in the palm of the Monkey King.
After the people had endured hardship, in order to commemorate the Bird Fairy and the Monkey General, they rebuilt the Monkey General Pavilion, which was built alongside the Bird Fairy.
After listening to the little lark's story, Pigsy couldn't help but stand up, imitating the way the Great Monkey King spread his hands, and sighed, "Love has always been a source of regret. I never expected that the general would be so affectionate and righteous. If I had been born five hundred years earlier, I could have recited poems with this kindred spirit."
"But he was born three or five hundred years too late..." He rolled his eyes at Ye Ming, "It's so boring dealing with this dead monkey."
Ye Ming rolled his eyes. If the mission hadn't been unclear, he would have refined it in an instant.
At this moment, Tang Sanzang also sighed repeatedly, his words filled with admiration for the gibbon.
Seeing this, the little lark wanted to say a few more things about the Great Monkey General, but Ye Ming found it noisy and chased it away.
"snort!"
The little lark flicked its sleeves, made a face at him, and then transformed into a little lark and flew away into the distance.
"Let's set off!"
Tang Sanzang gave a speech and took the lead towards the town ahead. Ye Ming rubbed his chin, slung his staff across his shoulder, and hopped to the front.
The little lark was on its way back to its aunt, the crow spirit, when it was passing through a forest when an arrow shot into its wing from below.
Her magical power was weak, and she knew no spells at all; even flying was done by instinct. If it weren't for her aunt's elixirs, she wouldn't have been able to even form this semi-transformed body.
Pierced by the arrow, the little lark cried out in pain and immediately transformed into human form before falling to the ground.
She looked at the arrow on her wing and burst into tears from the pain.
Meanwhile, in the forest, the hunters who had fired their arrows suddenly brightened up upon seeing this.
"This bird actually turned into a winged woman?"
"A bird demon?"
"Master Lin and Master Zhang will definitely like it; we can sell it for a high price!"
After a brief discussion, the group decided to carry the little lark and head ostentatiously towards the town.
Before long, news of the bird demon being sold spread throughout the town, and the wealthy Lin and Zhang almost came to blows over the little lark.
Ultimately, the matter escalated to the point of being taken to court.
As soon as Ye Ming and his group entered the town, they heard passersby talking about the bird demon and clamoring to go to the court to watch the show.
After inquiring around for a while, Pigsy looked at his master and asked, "Master, the little lark was just caught by hunters. Shall we go and rescue it?"
"I noticed that the little sparrow demon didn't have any demonic aura, hadn't killed anyone, and seemed like a good demon."
"Amitabha." Tang Sanzang nodded slightly. "Saving a life is better than building a seven-story pagoda. Little Lark is kind-hearted, and since we have the ability, we should naturally help you."
Meanwhile, Ye Ming was thinking to himself, "It seems like the Long-Armed Ape is about to make its appearance after this incident..."
