Chapter 307 - 71: Ghost Race
Chapter 307 - 71: Ghost Race
After patiently waiting for two days, Udi finally sensed the emergence of a stable coordinate in a distant plane.
The altar was built.
Udi paused his practice of Spiritual Martial Techniques, retrieved a large quantity of materials from his Magic Storage Space, and began constructing another corresponding Teleportation Altar on the Tal Plane.
Even though he could teleport using magic without building an altar, with the Black Wing Nest as a formidable rear and countless monster armies, he naturally had to make use of it.
After spending about an hour, a small Teleportation Altar was set up, into which he inputted the coordinates of the unnamed plane’s Teleportation Altar.
The two Teleportation Altars achieved a connection in the unseen realm.
"It’s ready," Udi exhaled, a flicker of anticipation flashing in his brown-yellow dragon eyes.
Under Udi’s watch, the Teleportation Altar quickly illuminated with a beam of Spiritual Light, held off by the Guardian Barrier that Udi had set up in advance.
A nearly three-meter-tall human figure emerged from the center of the Teleportation Altar.
It was the high-level Dragon Descendant servant previously sent over by Udi using the Otherworld Teleportation Technique.
"Master," the Dragon Descendant servant trembled slightly, relieved to find himself back in the Tal Plane, then noticed the Black Dragon Lord before him like a black mountain, hurriedly kneeling in reverence.
"What’s the situation on that plane?" Udi skipped the pleasantries and asked directly, his tone tinged with anticipation.
The Dragon Descendant servant organized his words thoughtfully, then said cautiously,
"Master, after you teleported me there, I arrived in a forest. This forest is peculiar. I walked for quite some time without encountering any creatures. Later, I climbed to the top of an ancient tree and leveraged the broad view to locate a village...
That village is inhabited by numerous green-skinned creatures... somewhat similar to goblins, but more sinister-looking... Later, I was discovered by those green-skinned creatures. To avoid disturbing powerful beings and affecting the plan, I kept running away without engaging them... During the chase, I eventually found a hidden cave and set up the Teleportation Altar there...
Upon hearing the Dragon Descendant servant’s narrative, Udi felt a bit disappointed.
There wasn’t much useful information. However, his task was merely to successfully set up the Teleportation Altar, so Udi didn’t blame him.
"Send a team in first to take a look," Udi pondered for a moment and made his decision.
Once he had a clearer understanding of the situation on that plane, he would consider whether to intervene personally.
...
"First team assembled!"
"Second team assembling..."
...
"Tenth team assembled!"
On the deserted island, in front of the Teleportation Altar, ten teams stood solemnly.
Dragon-blooded Humans, Jackal Wolfmen, goblins, Celestial Dog People, Kobolds, Giant Demons...
Ten teams, each with ten members, totaling one hundred.
Each member was a high-level Professional!
Among them were Warriors, Flying Knights, Dragon Vein Mages, Thieves, Tanks, all well-equipped, forming a standard adventurous team.
Moreover, with the high-level magic equipment and weapons they were armed with, these ten monster squads combined could even encircle and kill some top-level creatures!
Leading the expedition to the other plane were Roy and Bryan.
The former is the head of the Higlind family and, apart from Udi, is the only Master-level Mage in the Black Wing Nest, with a biological level reaching Level 16.
The latter is the leader of the Wilderness Tribe’s Gray-haired Jackal Wolfmen. After the Wasteland campaign many years ago, he quickly broke through to Master level. Now, years later, his biological level has reached Level 17, with his Blood and Qi Profession [Warg Rider Knight] also reaching Level 17.
The two commanders were among the earliest followers of Udi, seasoned both in experience and power.
One is an old man over a hundred years old who led his family to prosperity; the other is a fierce Jackal Wolfman leader who led his tribe to survive in the harsh wasteland for decades.
"Depart!" Bryan looked around at his vigorous, fierce subordinates, immediately issuing the order.
The warriors, upon receiving the command, orderly lined up and stepped onto the altar.
Bryan glanced at Roy.
Roy nodded slightly, waved his Magic Staff, and numerous cheap, low-level Energy Crystals flew into the altar’s Energy Pool.
As Roy chanted, the altar activated, a beam of Spiritual Light shot skyward, held off by the Barrier, and as the light faded, one hundred monster warriors and two commanders all departed the Tal Plane.
Outside the Deserted Island Barrier, Fitz’s elite Sea Beast Knights patrolled day and night, sealing the area, preventing any external creatures from approaching.
Unknown other plane.
Bryan, Roy, and others appeared within a cave. After their initial daze, they quickly became alert, scrutinizing their surroundings.
The cave entrance was blocked by several large rocks.
"Roy, let’s follow the plan and divide into two teams," Bryan said solemnly in the dim cave.
Roy stroked his black long beard, nodding slightly, "If anything happens, contact me with the Magic Ball."
Bryan, holding a fist-sized purple crystal ball, nodded slightly,
"Okay, if you discover anything, quickly notify the mage here."
After Bryan spoke, he signaled the six-meter-tall Forest Giant Demon beside him, which immediately walked to the front and smashed the rock blocking the cave entrance with a punch.
Subsequently, Bryan and Roy each led five teams, heading in two different directions.
